November 28, 2007 – Cellular Networking Perspectives Assists CDG on MEID/EUIMID Transition

Cellular Networking Perspectives is assisting the CDG (CDMA Development Group) in their educational efforts on the transition from ESN to MEID and UIMID to Expanded UIMID. Due to the rapid expansion of the cellular industry the 32 bit numbering space shared by ESN and UIMID, and used by earlier TDMA and AMPS technologies, is nearing exhaustion.

The documents developed by CDG and Cellular Networking Perspectives explain the reasons for the changes, the technical changes, the impacts of not migrating, and give many tips for an efficient migration.
